Situational Analysis (Recent and Past 5-Year Experiences of Hospitals with Rain-Flood-Wind Incidents) – Part of Preparation of Safety and Preparedness Program
Recalling and reviewing the past experiences with Rain-Flood-Wind Incidents (including Typhoons, Storm Surges, and Tsunamis) will make the hospital administrations and their staff appreciate the importance of having a Rain-Flood-Wind Incident Safety and Preparedness Program as well as assist them in making a vulnerability assessment.
Frequency of Rain-Flood-Wind Incidents in the Community (Philippines and Specific Community)
Around 19 tropical cyclones or storms enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in a typical year and of these usually 6 to 9 make landfall.
